The Prana Chai story goes back over ten years when cafe owners and friends Mario and Vince returned to Melbourne after travelling through south Asia, wanting to put a great chai latte on their menu, but in such a way that was in keeping with their commitment to quality, unlike the powders and syrups that were on the market. They came up with their own recipe and started selling it in-house (originally in plastic freezer bags over the counter). Regular customer and friend Koray joined the team and, thus, Prana Chai was born.
Lilli was in Australia at the time the Prana Team was looking for cafes and individuals with similar quality standards and values. She approached Prana Chai at Melbourne International Coffee Expo, the first expo that Prana attended and she was welcomed immediately.
Travelling entrepreneur, Lilli decided to take the challenge of leaving her job to bring Prana Chai to Europe. It has been an adventurous journey since, visiting cafés and connecting to people, all the while spreading the Prana Love.
Lately, due to high demand and opening of cool and fancy venues in London, Prana Chai wanted to have direct presence in UK. Lilli had to spend some time on the other side of the pond where she met Michelle from Australia who has been a fan of Prana Chai when she was using it in her cafe back in down under.
It only made sense that Michelle accepted to join us at Prana Chai Europe. She is London-based and will oversee majority of the operations from there.
